Okay dokey .... Here goes my first attempt at a blog post on a cool Sunday evening from home ...go ask from a software engineer how valuable that is ... ;) And plus ... its Kandy !!!
So to start with....
I'm a part-time undergrad student currently doing my BSc in Software Engineering at the University of Westminster through IIT , while working at a software firm (Zone24x7) . Its been almost 2 crazy years since i chose the program and 3 more years of hard work await .... I've always found a keen interest into the field of IT apart from going high whenever some space guy figures out how all those magical stuff happen in the outer space ..... and i like designing stuff .... so obviously photography comes to the stage too ... :)
Why Dreaming Live....
A dream a very special something we experience almost all the time. (well i do anyway .... :P) It's just what has kept mankind as a whole to strive for a better future ... and never ever stop .... just think .... if we ever stopped dreaming and decided to accept life as it is and just .... live ..... we might as well become like any other animal sleeping, eating, probably running until death .
Dreams aspire us .... dreams help us forget whatever we want to atleast for a single moment ..... dreams give purpose .... dreams inject reason into our lives . Thats exactly why i found so much beauty in this word to describe my blog .... because this place here is going to be all about the wonderous things I , and many of you just allow into our dreams .... they may not have reasons to exist ... or be pretty far away from entering reality .... but .... they define us and shape us into zillions of unique attitudes , think tanks , and most of all .... an interesting society .
and of course i will write about some other stuff too :P
A point to ponder ....
I actually started writing this post because I was inspired by an awesome book i just read for the third time .... its called "The naked sun by Isaac Asimov . The story is staged in an outer world called solaria where so called "evolved humans" rule .... and the reason being that they figured out ways to eliminate personal contacts and any kind of emotional ties between each other .... there were only 20000 in population and even the number of household robots was even more . They invented and extensively used a concept called "viewing" as means of communication ... where one person may only view others virtually .The story builds up upon a normal policeman from earth (someone just like us thankfully) who is assigned to solve a murder case in solaria . This unrealistic clash of different opinions show throughout the pages why man was built to be social.
This just got me thinking ..... are we heading there already ?? with all the social media craze and the busy busy work days ... it just might be pretty near though we are not chasing it ... lost are the days when kids went to parks to play ... lost are the days when everyone got together to sing a song or two under a cool shade of trees .... all those have become such exclusive things to do only so rarely .... when in the old days it all happened daily .
I recently read an article about the odd traits developing into the kids in china these days (this is just as same in most other countries .. ) and kept thinking how similar the situation is to the fiction . Here's the link check it out......
So i guess my first ever message off this blog is to never take society for granted . Love , respect , traditions and religions are there for a reason . We should not move away from them just because they are old or just because they are not the trend or because they cannot be explained by science . They are also like dreams .... they define us .... they give us purpose for life.
True happiness lies in the pursuit of happiness itself , not within achieving it.
